With Huntington Hills located across the highway from Calgary International Airport, the drone wasn’t an option for this one. This incredible park offers a massive bowl complete with spines, hips and endless fast lines, paired with a plaza option consisting ledges, rails, flat banks and stair sets. This park could be a great option if you’re facing a layover at YYC and have a few hours to kill. If you’re in the Calgary area this should be a definite stop on your must session list.
Located next to the Thornhill Aquatic & Recreation Centre, this park is accessible off of 64 Ave NW and Central St North. There is parking available next to the recreation centre and library, just a short walk from the park.
AIRPORT DIRECTIONS: If you’re at Calgary International Airport, this park can be accessed with a 14 minute cab or car ride via Airport Rd NE to Barlow Trail NE, take a left on to Airport Trail NE then head southbound on Deerfoot Trail / Hwy 2. Exit the highway on 64 Ave NE and head three blocks west. The park will be on your right.
